I usually don't comment on opinion columns in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, but this one by Jay Bookman is interesting. He writes:
A number of political indicators ... record box-office numbers for "Fahrenheit 9/11," among others -- make it obvious that the Democratic base is more fired up about removing the current administration than at any time in living memory.The question this brings up is "Will F9/11 influence the election"?
If it does, I suppose we can look forward to a bunch of propaganda films before the next Presidential election. I propose one with the thesis that John Kerry is a robot assembled by international ketchup interests.
As a matter of fact, I already have proof: If you watch Kerry carefully after he completes a speech, you can sense the gears clanking before he shifts into his pol.smile subroutine.
