It's only a flesh wound!

Like when Oil-for-Food scandal discredited their whole "let the UN take over in Iraq" editorial line, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution seems determined to ignore information that their poster boy for the "Bush Lied" meme, Joseph Wilson, is not been proved to be the liar instead. (Look at this post at Instapundit for a wealth of information on this story). Wondering why the AJC did not seem to find this a worthy story, I thought I would send the following email to my favorite whipping boy, the public editor of the AJC:

Last year, the AJC ran many news articles and editorial opinions Joseph Wilson. I am wondering why the AJC did not offer a news article about how the recently released Senate Intelligence report that shows an inconsistency in Wilson’s public story. Specifically, that:

The Senate panel found that most intelligence analysts found that Wilson’s report reinforced the case that Iraq had sought uranium from Iraq, rather that Wilson’s public assertions to the contrary.
Wilson wrote in his book that his wife had nothing to do with him being recommended for the Nigerian trip, when the Senate panel found he did.

I know your editorial board put a lot of stock in what Joseph Wilson said and the ramifications of his story. Since many of his public assertions have been found false, why is your paper not reporting that and discussing its ramifications?

Or is the answer obvious?

I eagerly await his response.
